Experience more than 100 of the Southeast’s most talented professional and amateur artists at Art in the Square, this Saturday, Sept. 20 and Sunday, Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. sponsored by Main Street Gainesville.
This juried art show features fine art, from oils to watercolors and mixed media. Marvel at the designs of hand painted jewelry and raku firing. See folk artist Bob McGill from Nashville as he creates one-of-a-kind pieces with oil and a razorblade. Step back to enjoy the buzzing of the chainsaw carvings with Carl Pirone. Be sure to check out the Interactive Neighborhood for Kids Youth Artists Market as well as the sidewalk chalk art show.
Enjoy a free concert on the square at 7 p.m. on Sept. 19 compliments of the John Jarrard Foundation. The Tyler Hammond Band will be opening for Blackboard.
