The International Ballet Summer Intensive Program will present a dance performance at Hosch Theatre on the Brenau University campus on Saturday, June 28, at noon. The performance showcases the talent of dancers who have completed three weeks of vigorous study with world-renowned faculty from the Paris Opera Ballet, National Opera and Ballet of Bulgaria, American Ballet Theatre amongst others. The dancers have been staying at Brenau the past three weeks studying and perfecting their art and are proud to showcase their talents to the community.
This year’s concert features students performing classical male and female variations from the ballets Giselle, Carnival in Venice, Sylvia and Etudes. Other works on the program include a contemporary ballet, a student choreographed improvisational work and a modern and jazz work.
No reserved seating. Tickets may be purchased at the door, $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens and children under 5 years of age.
