President’s Summer Art Series Opens with Reception May 13
The President’s Summer Arts Series will exhibit works by four renowned Georgia artists: John Hemmer, Bob White, Andrew Crawford and Gregory Johnson. The opening reception will be at Sellars Gallery Tuesday, May 13, from 5:30-7 p.m. The gallery is located at 200 Boulevard NE in Gainesville. The exhibition will run from May 13 to July 3, with gallery hours Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the reception and gallery is free and open to the public. Let Music Move You with the Summer Songwriters Series at the Brenau Downtown Center
Brenau University and the John Jarrard Foundation hosts the Summer Songwriters Series on June 14, July 19 and August 9 at Brenau’s Theater on the Square, 301 Main St. in Gainesville. All shows begin at 7 p.m. Relax and listen to stories and musical stylings of songwriters Rivers Rutherford, Pat Alger, Jim McBride, Gary Nicholson, Bob Dipiero, Chuck Cannon and Lari White in an intimate setting.
