Moore Middle School in Lawrenceville, Ga., welcomed one of Brenau’s staff from the Office of Communications & Publications, Alison Reeger Cook, for an author visit March 31. Reeger Cook spoke to four classes of sixth grade students about her first young adult novel, The Scholar, the Sphinx, and the Shades of Nyx, as well as the process of creative writing and book publication in the school’s media center. The visit was arranged by Moore’s media specialist Giselle Escobar.

The students gave Reeger Cook a warm reception, prepared with questions and engaged with her presentation. Afterwards, the sixth-grade teachers presented Reeger Cook with a thank you gift, a Moore Middle School bag with various goodies.

Reeger Cook is scheduled for another upcoming school visit at Wood’s Mill High School in Gainesville, Ga., on April 18.┬áTo learn more about Reeger Cook and her writing you can contact her at 770-534-6160 or visit scholarandsphinx.blogspot.com.
