Maria Zayas, Ed.D., has been a practicing psychologist for over 25 years. In addition to maintaining a clinical practice, Zayas is an assistant professor of psychology at Brenau University. Her primary clinical and research interests are in the areas of stress management, resilience, well-being, self-awareness and interpersonal relationships. She and her research team are developing a stress lab to serve the university and extended communities using the HeartMath heart rate variability biofeedback-supported system of emotional self-regulation training.
WomenSource is partnering with Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program for the month of April. Lunch attendees may support Habitat for Humanity by bringing donations for the organization to sell in their ReStore. The Habitat ReStore is looking for new and used furnishings, home décor, children’s toys, lamps, or anything you no longer use (except clothes) to sell to the public at a fraction of the original cost. All net profits generated through the ReStore are used toward the Habitat Hall County mission of building homes, community and hope in Hall County.
