Brenau East Campus at Featherbone Communiversity hosts Masters in Teaching: Life Changers at Work Conference on April 1. It is one of four in the “Masters” series of events held at Featherbone annually. Sponsored by Jackson EMC, the conference honors educational institutions including Brenau University, Hall County Schools, the University of North Georgia at Gainesville, Lakeview Academy, Lanier Technical College and Riverside Military Academy.

This year’s guest speaker is 2014 Teacher of the Year Jemelleh Coes. She is a special education English language arts teacher at Langston Chapel Middle School in Bulloch County, where she has spent her entire career. She tirelessly strives to provide all students with a rigorous and relevant education by setting high expectations and tapping into students’ multiple learning styles.

The conference will take place on April 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Whalen Auditorium at Featherbone Communiversity, 999 Chestnut Street in Gainesville. To RSVP, please contact Joyce Wilson at jwilson5@brenau.edu or 770-538-4612 by March 28.
