Brenau University’s Golden Tigers Tennis Team will host “International Tennis Day” along with its Monday, March 24, match with Georgia Perimeter College at the university’s Smithgall Tennis Center on the Gainesville campus.

The free public event, from 5 to 8 p.m., celebrates the internationally diverse team, which features only one native-born American, and the global appeal of the sport. There will be pizza and soft drinks for guests as well as opportunities to win three main prizes: $200, $150 and $50 gift cards. Additional contests enable participants to win t-shirts and other prizes. And if guests do not view tennis as a spectator sport, they will have an opportunity to try out Brenau’s indoor tennis courts throughout the event.
