‘Chicago’ Opens Feb. 11 at Brenau’s Hosch Theatre; ‘Menagerie’ Starts Valentine’s Day at Cabell

GTA Photo 2The Gainesville Theatre Alliance opens its production of the highly acclaimed musical Chicago at Brenau’s Hosch Theatre on Feb. 11. The show runs through Feb. 22. The cast includes Cassandra Alvarado, professor of dance at Brenau University as Velma Kelley.  Some Brenau students featured in the cast are Carly Berg as Roxy Hart, Amanda Bonilla as Mona, and Ericka Billups, who is in the ensemble.

Opening Feb. 14 is Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, which also plays through Feb. 22, at the University of North Georgia’s Ed Cabell Theatre, 3820 Mundy Mill Rd., Oakwood.  Some Brenau students involved with the production are Abigail Paul, assistant to the director, Kara Keen, stage manager, Cole Spivia, wardrobe head, Zachariah Ivans, sound designer, and Paije Beaudry, paint head. 

Complimentary tickets are available to Brenau faculty, staff and students on Feb. 12, 13, 18 and 19 by calling the GTA box office at 678.717.3624. Tickets to Chicago are $22-24 for adults, $20-22 for seniors, and $12-14 for students, depending on seat location, and tickets for The Glass Menagerie are $18-20 for adults, $16-18 seniors or $12-14 for students.
