Sympathy to the Family of Corine (CoCo) Lott

Corine (CoCo) Jackson LottLong-time Brenau housekeeping employee Corine (CoCo) Jackson Lott died Wednesday in hospice after a lengthy illness. She was 64.

CoCo Lott started work at Brenau on March 15, 1976, continuing through the 2006 transition of some of the university housekeeping services to Aramark in 2006. She worked continuously until health issues forced her retirement, and was highly regarded for her pleasant demeanor great sense of humor.

She is survived by four daughters: Amy Cantrell of Lawrenceville, and, all from Gainesville, Lisa Castleberry, Tammy Earl and Latonya Earl.

According to Castleberry, Lott had been in hospice following a stroke.

Wake services will be Monday, Jan. 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Wimberly & Jackson Funeral Home, 325 Summit St. in Gainesville. The funeral will be Tuesday, Jan. 28, at New Salem Baptist Church, 787 New Salem Church Rd., in Jefferson, Ga.
