January’s Family Day at the Northeast Georgia History Center sports a 1970s theme on Sunday, Jan. 12, from 1-4 p.m. Explore the 1970s through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities and static exhibits such as a timeline of the decade including notable events and people in Northeast Georgia, the state and world; decade memorabilia, clothing, jewelry, Star Wars collectibles and art from Brenau’s permanent collection.
While you’re there, check out some classic ’70s cars from the collection of Jay Andrews, Brenau’s director of broadcasting and digital communication. There will also be an interactive exhibit of food trends from the decade with samples, ’70s-themed crafts and a special visit and photo opportunity with Star Wars Storm Troopers.
