Homecoming 2013 is Here

Homecoming 2013 is upon us and everyone is getting ready for the excitement. Special 135th anniversary events include the dedication and naming of our new bronze tiger on the corner of Green and Academy streets in Gainesville at 5 p.m. and a reading by Dr. Jim Southerland from his memoir Reflections of a Sharecroppers Son at the Northeast Georgia History Center at 6 p.m. Friday, October 4th.

Friday, Oct. 4:

2 p.m. – BU Soccer vs. Faulkner
5 p.m. – Dedication & Naming of the Bronze Tiger, Corner of Academy & Green Streets
6 p.m. – Storytelling: An Evening with Dr. Southerland, NEGA History Center
7 p.m. – Reception hosted by the Alumni Association, NEGA History Center

Saturday, Oct. 5:

7:30 a.m. – Alumni Association Board Meeting, Burd Center
10 a.m. – Storytelling: Women’s College Dean & Current Students, Pearce Auditorium
10 a.m. – 3 p.m. – Campus Bookstore Open
11 a.m. – Academic Open House, Trustee Library

12 p.m. – Picnic Lunch for Alumni, Students & Families, Wilkes Lawn
12 p.m. – Athletic Hall of Fame Luncheon, NEGA History Center
1 p.m. – Sorority Open Houses
3 p.m. – Family Field Day, Front Lawn
5:30 p.m. – BU Soccer vs. AU-Montgomery
