Tomorrow Community Members Discuss Race and Diversity 50 Years after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s ‘I Have A Dream’ speech

Fifty years after Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic I Have A Dream speech, The Gainesville Times and Brenau University host a community conversation about race and diversity Tuesday, Aug. 27 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Hosch Theatre. Panel members include President Schrader, Senior Pastor of Gainesville First Baptist Church Bill Coates and Former Hall County Commissioner Deborah Mack.

Associate Professor of Political Science and event moderator Heather Holliman will join with audience members in discussing how far we have come in 50 years, where we are today, and where we need to go in the future in dealing with these issues. The program will air live on Brenau’s 89.1 WBCX.
