There's still time to save TEG

The battle to save the Tuition Equalization Grant isn’t over yet.

The Georgia Senate has passed their version of the budget which determines the funding level granted to TEG. The House and Senate will spend the weekend reconciling the budget to decide on a final number. According to the Georgia Independent College Association the proposed budget would reduce TEG funding to levels not seen since 1978.

There’s still time, however.

Even if you’ve registered your views on the issue before, things are changing daily. The GICA updated its online petitions to email members of the House Representatives, too, not just state senators.  If you filled out the petition earlier, make sure to fill it out again to tell your representatives to keep up funding for schools like Brenau and save the Georgia state government money.
