Brenau family saddened by student’s death

The Brenau family is saddened by the death of 32-year-old junior nursing student Jesse James Plunkett Jan. 15. The well-like, outgoing student, who was academically near the top of his class, was a native of Buford, Ga. However, he lived in Winder. Faculty members said, Plunkett was a leader in the class, always engaged and engaging, willing to help others, and expressing a great sense of humor. “You always smiled when you saw him walk in the room because he was always smiling,” said one faculty member. “He would have been a great health care professional if, for no other reason, because of that personality.”

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 18 from 4-8 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, 4400 South Lee St., in Buford. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at the funeral home.
