This weekend, swimming hosts the Second Annual Brenau Invitational Nov. 16-17. The meet will take place at the Frances Meadows Aquatic Center in Gainesville on Friday at 5:30 p.m. and Saturday at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The event has grown since last year as only five teams attended. This year, the Golden Tigers welcome 11 NAIA, NCAA and NJCAA teams, five of which are conference teams, and 230 athletes.

According to Head Coach Blaire Bachman,  “The Brenau Invitational began as an opportunity for NAIA swimming programs to compete against one another, outside of our national championships. Brenau is able to provide these teams with a high level of competition, in a great aquatic venue. This meet shows the strength of the sport of swimming within the NAIA, and how it continues to grow and develop into a must see event. We are proud to welcome all the teams to Gainesville and look forward to fast swimming.”
