Il Portale Musicale, Fall 2012

Music majors perform various compositions at the John S. Burd Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m.

In case you didn’t know, Il Portale Musicale means “the music portal” and is an Italian name for the Department of Music’s general recital each semester.

Over 14 students will be showcased and highlights include:
Jeff Akana, tenor, performing “O Colombina” from Il Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Yuxi Liu, pianist, playing Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sonata, Op. 81a “Les Adieux” and Rachel McFarland, soprano, singing an aria from Handel’s musical drama Hercules entitled “The Smiling Hours.”
