Almost 2,000 pairs of good quality shoes are lining the famous “Brenau Mile” circle around the campus.  Catchy tunes are coming from the direction of Daniel Pavilion, thanks to the expertise of Jay Andrews and Ted Garner.  Juli Clay, Lisa Echols and other Brenau employees just finished teaming up with business major Staci Phillippi and other students to place shoes along the sidewalks on the Brenau Mile.  Now, the campus community and the public are invited to “Walk The Mile” for charity from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13.

After the event, Clay and Echols, assisted by Rudi Kiefer (Brenau Sustainability) and Angie Caton (NE Georgia Medical Center), maintenance staff, and students, will gather up the shoes and deliver them to local charities.
