Kings Bay Campus sponsors regional leadership symposium

The Coalition for a Better Community is presenting a symposium on Leadershipt and Civil Discourse Thursday, April 5 at 6:00 p.m. at the College of Coastal Georgia. Brenau University – Kings Bay is one of the principal sponsors of the event, with campus director Bob North serving on the Coalition´s board of directors.

The event features three experts in the field of leadership and community relations. Mary Lou Frank, Ph.D., of Middle Georgia College holds degrees in speech communication, counseling, and psychology. She has been a consultant and speaker nationally and internationally on first year programs, learning communities, student success, women in higher education, ethics, leadership, and faculty development.

David Michael Keating is Chief Executive of the Camden County Joint Development Authority. He offers expertise in organization and personnel management, strategic planning, deal negotiations/structuring, project development, appraisal/valuation, media/community relations, economic development programs and incentives, and leadership.

Charles A. Smith is the CEO of The Cumberland Financial Group LLC as well as a Chartered Financial Consultant and Investment Advisor Representative. With advanced degrees in fields as diverse as Theology and Financial Counseling, he offers a unique perspective of community and leadership development. Smith´s public activities include serving on the Board of the Camden County Chamber of Commerce, and he is the Chair of the Chamber´s Government Community Affairs Committee.
The symposium is open to all community members who have an interest in Camden County, Georgia. Admission is free.
