Brenau Trustee Library is in the last hours of its grand book sale Wednesday afternoon. Starting at 1 p.m., you can fill a grocery bag with books and for just a flat rate of $5.00. Now”s the chance to buy the encyclopedia you always liked but didn”t want to buy in monthly installments. Or a movie DVD. Or a whole bag full of leisure reading.
“We still have a whole lot of great books and things here!” said Lisa Echols, inofficially titled the Voice of the Book Sale. “Cash proceeds of the sale will help pay for some ”re-beautification” efforts in the library required following the roof leak repairs. Left-over books will be donated to Books for Africa, an organization that collects, sorts and distributes books to African communities.”
