Being humane means ´Don´t feed the feral cats´

As the weather cools, various pest control issues are surfacing on campus and Dr. Wayne Dempsey requests the full support of the entire Brenau community to keep these unwelcomed guests at bay on the Gainesville campus In the past few days, we have experienced an outbreak of fleas in several areas, and we know the flea population is supported by the many feral cats which inhabit the campus. Everyone must cease feeding the cats immediately. Everyone must also be conscientious about putting garbage in appropriate containers (plastic garbage bags) and not leaving food items in exposed areas where cats and vermin may feed on it. The issues arising from pests on campus are serious. They threaten the health and well-being of our students and staff. Your assistance in keeping the campus clean and safe is appreciated.
